Información general:
Esta certificación provee al estudiante el desarrollo de las destrezas necesarias para la ejecución efectiva del proceso de facturación de planes médicos. Incluye conceptos generales de las agencias de seguros y conceptos básicos que se complementan para desarrollar el ciclo de facturación y cobro a planes médicos federales y estatales. Además, capacitará al estudiante en el conocimiento de terminología, leyes locales, práctica en el uso de la codificación con el ICD10CM y CPT. Desarrollará el pensamiento crítico y la toma de decisiones en el manejo efectivo de los procedimientos en la facturación manual y la facturación electrónica a través de un sistema computadorizado. El programa está compuesto por cuatro módulos continuos.
