Este certificado profesional en Cuidado integral en el paciente geriátrico (adulto mayor y su cuidador) incluye el estudio de los aspectos biopsicosociales en el adulto mayor, integrando aspectos nutricionales y legales (derechos y responsabilidades). Está diseñada para proporcionar conocimientos y competencias básicas para el cuidado del adulto mayor velando por sus necesidades físicas, cognitivas y emocionales.
El certificado está compuesto por cuatro módulos:
- Introducción, bases psicológicas y aspectos sociales del envejecimiento.
- Factores de riesgo, seguridad en el hogar y nutrición del adulto mayor.
- Leyes que protegen al adulto mayor y su cuidador.
- Causas de demencia. Habilidades, estimulación y actividades cognitivas para implementar en el hogar.
