El curso ofrece una introducción al entorno actual de la información financiera basado en el marco conceptual contable y a los principios de contabilidad generalmente aceptados (GAAP). Destaca el manejo del sistema contable básico, incluyendo el registro y ajuste de transacciones y la elaboración de los estados financieros (estado de ingresos y gastos, el balance general y el estado de flujos de efectivo) explorando sus componentes, usos y limitaciones. Ofrece la oportunidad de aplicar técnicas de análisis financiero con el propósito de apoyar decisiones estratégicas basadas en la información financiera confiable.
